Rowdy Roosters Discussion
« on: October 21, 2019, 12:09:36 am »
The Rowdy Roosters were dismantled on Friday night.  Normally I'd say this is just a start on off-season maintenance, but the Rowdy Roosters have been removed from the list of rides on the website.

I can't recall if I saw the Roosters assembled during my visit two weeks ago.

I was at the park the first 2 weekends of screamfest and the tubs were off. the ride was down the last part of the summer.

Now that I think back, I do remember a summer visit where they were down but they were assembled.  It'll be interesting to see if the ride returns since it's ominous that it's off the site.

It’s tough to see this ride in this shape. It seems to give the park a lot of trouble! I did enjoy it a few years ago when I rode it. Not the best of them but I love these rides!

Sounds like the park plans to bring it back next year after a big refurbishment.

It's possible, they had the tubs rebuilt just a few years ago. Not sure what's up mechanically. I'd hate to see it go but also would prefer it if they had to replace it to install a higher capacity attraction.

The ride overall is simple I know there are some upgrade options for things like gearing and brakes that could help it have better throughput. We'll just have to wait and see. sadly I haven't had an operativity to talk with any of the management or owner on my trips earlier in the month.

Good to hear they are up and running again. They have always been one of my favorite rides at the park.

I do enough this ride, but very hard to snap, seems tubs are too heavy !

Sadly like so many Flying Scooter rides the controls are governed so that you only get so much control. before they had the chains you could snap them and these rebuilt tubs are lighter then the old ones.

The ride is up and running this season after being closed all of last season for rehab. Runs and stops well
