I will say everywhere that people are talking about it, it seems the majority of people hate the ride! Everybody talks about adding either a power splash , Raptor or launch similar to ice breaker. It will be interesting to see its future!

Which is why relocating it is such a foolish move. it's not going to be some magic winner at another park.

The problem is unless it's smaller and extremely compact a launch in that plot is a hard fit. the Aquaplash wouldn't fit without removing or relocating other attractions in that area like Baloon race, flashback, chop six, and possibly even the scrambler.

The raptor might fit with the base model but how nice would a custom model be instead.

Whatever it gets replaced with, it should be at least the height of Goliath. I believe if any new structure in that spot is the same height or less, they won’t have to file for a height permit again which saves them money to build something just as tall. I don’t think a power splash is smart because we don’t have a long summer season and the water park is free which gives everyone the option to get wet there instead. Aside from a coaster (which I obviously want too) I wish they’d put a giant Ferris wheel there. May not be fun, but it’s the only major picturesque skyline attraction SFNE is def missing and to have it centered in the park there would provide a great view of everything.

I do like the idea of another Ferris wheel. I agree it's not overly thrilling but a whole in their line up. I enjoyed ridding Colossus and taking in the park.

As for the height the area has I think a 200 or 250 ft clearance allowance. So if it's within that range they don't need to seek a variance for height. The ride it's replacing has no bearing on it.

I doubt a Ferris wheel will ever come and that's a shame! I do know that the park got a height permit to allow for up to 300 ft now! Construction starting soon!

I’ll admit light was fading so I couldn’t see too well, but the only part of Goliath that I could see missing is that one small piece of track in this pic.  Honestly I was hoping to see a lot more of it gone at this point.

Is there still no word as to what will be going in Goliath's spot? And I have to admit that though I'll miss how it looks there, I won't miss the ride at all.
