Yeah that much I know about the lap bar position sensors - and that the system won't let the train be dispatched if any one is not closed enough, my wife and I visited this past Saturday with a friend who I got in using one of my BAF for $24.99 tickets and had no issues until later in the day, just before 7 PM we went to grab a night ride on it and even though the lap bar sensor cleared on my wife's seat the attendant, and a lead named Shannon who backed him up, wouldn't let her ride, claiming that the actual bar either has to contact her thighs or waist. She was very angry and so was I.
There's no "official" signage at the test seat, but its setup implies that 1 - the seatbelt has to latch (it did), and 2 - the lap bar has to close enough to clear the sensor (it did). So I'm trying to build a case to bring to Mr. Doninger for a formal complaint against the attendant and the lead.
