Cedar Fair spikes on report of Six Flags interest
Oct. 2, 2019 12:04 PM ETCedar Fair, L.P. (FUN)By: Clark Schultz, SA News Editor
Shares of Cedar Fair (FUN +5.8%) have been halted after Reuters reports Six Flags Entertainment (SIX -0.3%) has a made a bid to acquire the theme park company.
Cedar Fair is reportedly considering the offer.
Nasdaq indicates the current trading halt is due to volatility.

Cedar Fair-Six Flags merger report discounted
Oct. 2, 2019 12:40 PM ETCedar Fair, L.P. (FUN)By: Clark Schultz, SA News Editor3 Comments
Wells Fargo isn't sure that a combination of Cedar Fair (NYSE:FUN) and Six Flags Entertainment (NYSE:SIX) makes sense.
The firm calls the Reuters report a "stretch" because Six Flags doesn't have a CEO, the two theme park cultures are much different and a substantial premium would be required to acquire FUN to cover tax considerations for shareholders.
Cedar Fair is now only up 2.22% and Six Flags is down 1.20%.

Interesting but would be a horrible move on CF side.

CF is reasonably stable and offers a lot that SFI just doesn't. their parks would lose so much mostly in the area of customer service which SFI regularly lacks.

Let's not forget the level of debt hey would need to take on and what happened the last time SFI had that level fo debt.

Ok, so I created an account with the website for a study abroad program yesterday and let Google make up the password. Today, I can get in so I make a new account and can't change anything because of the e-mail. I kind of want both accounts to get deleted and then I can start from scratch.

Problem is solved though. Since I still have a bit over a year to get it in, I'm not going to rush with it; still have long-term assignments this semester to deal with and hopefully Dollywood in March.

Is anyone else having issues with Google like when you try to search for something it can't connect to the internet even though its working. It started acting up after my ESET Antivirus updated. It mentions port 443, but I am not sure how to forget and reconnect Chrome without uninstalling it or disabling protection.

Don't use Google too much, only ooff and on, But I have found that with both google and yahoo some times after my browser updates security keys don't match up and things get blocked. Could be an issue if your using a VPN

Seemed it was a campus issue, pure coincidence that everything happened at the same time.

Can't say I'm surprised that they dropped the ball.

I agree there should be a general content option. I like many here, I have a page and upload park content and it's not focused solely for kids or adults but everyone.

I have never geen a fan of the way Youtube sets up its content.  It's too easy to be in a family-friendly video and stumble onto one that is not.  I have for a  while felt that videos should have a rating. similar to TV, movies, and video games. Viewers should then be able to agree or disagree with that rating and say whether it should be higher or lower.

I viewers must be signed in the suggestion he had Would eliminate the ability to report your videos on social media and forums like this.

I am shelving my plans to go to Dollywood at this point and plan to try and do Kentucky Kingdom, Holiday World, and Dollywood around Memorial Day to see my family in Indiana and a New York State trip (Doreny-PA, Coney Island-NYC, Legoland New York Grand Opening, Great Escape, Seabreeze, SF Darien Lake). Might try and get up to New England for opening weekend of first weekend of August. Ignoring Flashback, Goliath, Great Chase, and Hurricane Harbor regardless.

Based off that, I would say Viper would be my 100th and either King (a Schwarzkopf traveling coaster at Foire du Trone, a carnival/state fair type event in Paris held in April and May) or Zeus at Parc Astrix (depends if Sandy is open by the 22nd of the next month).

I will detail a more detailed extent of my study abroad in the fall.

So are you skipping those rides at SFNE to control what will be your 100th?
