Spooky World
« on: September 15, 2019, 02:38:32 pm »
Well, Friday was opening night for Spooky World in Litchfield, NH! I havent been too spooky World Since it was at Foxboro Stadium. It was better then I was expecting because back then I thought it was pretty bad.  I will say though with the Hay Ride, they do touch you and it's actually pretty hilarious! Well for me anyway, watching people scream and stuff and move around trying to get away form actors!  We should have a review up in a day or two!

I saw that you and some friends visited on their Friday the 13th opening special.  Glad you had a good time. I have known about the attraction for years but never got around to visiting it.

I would highly recommend it.  I visited Spookyword in its original location back in 98.  So I couldn't help but compare it a bit. What really got me was the effort put into the majority of the attractions. while The Colony was pretty straight forward and nothing too unique and Brigham Manner was a bit traditional 3D dreamscape was more then I expected and Carnage was by far the most original haunt I have been in in a long time.

I visited when it was at Foxboro Stadium and it wasn't as good there, but I agree with you about the current state with the 3d one was awesome and carnage was cool, my problem was barely any actors, but it was very close to closing and they probably removed some later in the evening. I notice a lot of haunts and theme park haunts do this for some weird reason.

I think they do pull actors. I had the VIP so I visited the main haunts early and later in the evening and there were noticeably fewer people in the haunts towards the end of the night. A few others didn't seem to be trying as hard.

I think the colony felt a bit understaffed.  SO was the 3D one but I was in such Aww over the artwork in the haunt I didn't care. there was also a performer just dancing at the end. They could have bought an animatronic for that. at least jump off the stand as the group passes.

I Attended Spooky World at Canobie the one year they were there and Way back in its original location in 96. I never managed to check out the attraction in Foxborough or The Expo Center.

the 3D haunt I agree didn't have many actors but the fact of the artwork and it wasn't just the typical clown 3d haunt that all haunts use, it was amazing! An actor I know from Factory OF Terror in Worcester used to work at spooky World years ago , this guy character name is twitch and is the thumbnail to the video of Should Scare actors go easy on kids. IN anywise the dude is awesome and As I Stated multiple times I was pleasantly surprised by Spookyworld and I am hoping to go again next year for sure!

So that dark hallway in the manner didn't even get you a little bit.

I liked Carnage. The setting and I found it well staffed but I went on a different day.  I agree they do a very good job and If you do go teh VIP option can get you access to the Mells attraction if you're trying to make a bigger day out of it and enjoy mini-golf and Go-carts.

One suggestion in future writes the haunt names down ahead of time so you can reference them or have the page already open I did that for my trip report (linked above) since i also spaced the name of a couple haunts.
