Would make sense that Chocolate world has similar restrictions. Might see a capacity restriction on the park though.

Someone on GAH made a point that the park got no shade. So it'll be rough

Park opening July 3 along with the debut of Candymonium.  Normally there would have been a trip for us there this year but it will probably be 2021 now.

I also think I will take it easy this year and look to do something bigger in 2021.

Looks Like Storm Runner will definitely not operate this year, Kissing Tower most likely won't, and Sooperdooperlooper is temporarily closed.

Storm Runner is expensive to operate due to the hydraulic launch, Kissing tower is a long ride in an enclosed vehicle, and I think the latter's queue might be harder to social distance-along with capacity and demand might determine that.

Sounds like Storm Runner couldn't get the parts they needed from Europe because of the Pandemic

Candymonium is an excellent compliment to Skyrush.  I think Candymonium is the best of the US B&M hypers.  The first half is almost as good as Mako's, but unlike Mako where the second half meanders, Candymonium still has good airtime through the end.

I really liked it as well. In the back you are out of your seat the entire first drop. Only critique is to lay off the trims. Rides without them were more fun.  Super smooth and quite too.

I'm happy to see that you both enjoyed the coaster and that it seems to be a sucess for the park.

Seems like they are putting up straightforward checks. About what I would expect to see anywhere.

They were selling one day tix for 40% off earlier.  We bought two so we know we will be going at some point this summer.  We haven't been there in a few years so Candymonium will be a new coaster for us.

not a bad deal. I've only done the Chocolate world Darkride and store. walked the downtown and had dinner at one of the restaurants. never been in the park.

We got to Hersheypark for their Christmas CandyLane event yesterday.  It was a long drive but it was nice to get out.  The park was well decorated but really not any better than SFNE, SFGADV or LC.  We did get a night ride on Candymonium which was much much better than the daylight ride we had earlier this year.  They also have a separate admission drive thru Christmas display called Sweet Lights.  It was certainly the longest attraction of this type we have ever done.  It was over 3 miles long.  It was pricey but very well done.

sounds like you had a good time. I can;t say I'm overly surprised that the event is on par with those other events there is only so much you can do to decorate for the holiday.
