We got some cut rate "preview" tickets for 7/8. The forecast was horrific with 80-95% chance of thunderstorms all day. Luckily it held off until just as we got in the car to leave!
We walked the entire park in our time there. We had been to Legoland FL so kinda knew what to expect. This will be a big hit with younger kids. There probably isn't enough to do for any kids older than 10. As we walked we saw a lot of little kids having a very special day.
We rode both coasters. Dragon's Apprentice allows 36 riders inches and up. The little girl in front of us was making this her first ever coaster at age 3! She loved it. LOL Her brother, probably about 12 was not thrilled. The other coaster, Dragon Coaster, is a family coaster. Both coasters are in the Castle Section. There are six sections to the park. Pirates is not ready yet.
We also rode two dark rides. Ninanjo was good with almost Disney quality technology but not quite. The Lego Factory Ride was also well done with a nice surprise at the end.
We also walked MiniLand. There they had Lego models of major American cities and landmarks. It was interesting to see how they worked things in and avoided copyright infringement.
Overall the park was well done. It is built in a very hilly area. They put in paths that meander thru and add to the walking. People were cutting across the grass to save steps and time despite numerous signs saying not to do that. I think they need to put in more paved cut thru walks. The parking is a bit different as you pay on the way out. We were there about three hours and enjoyed the time at a brand new park.
