That processing charge is insane. system has to be set up to sell the tickets and Cord fees is a matter of cents not dollars. the rest is a money grab.

Thanks for the possible opening info.

2020 Running of the Bulls event has been postponed to 2021.  Not surprised but still sad.

On non-park operating days Great Adventure is adding a drive-thru HITP experience!

That surprises me. Cars might be able to squeeze by the catering pavilions and Cyborg and exit through the Safari or around Green Lantern, but you have the carrousel in the way in both cases. looks to be a tight squeeze as you enter the Boardwalk area.

El Toro had a minor derailment on Wednesday and is closed as they figure out what happened.  Riders were aboard but nobody was injured.

The derail was actually Tuesday 6/29 not Wednesday.

wow, first I'm hearing of this. Funny how some things get spread like wildfire while others don't get the light of day.

For anyone who might not have seen it yet we did post a full Jersey Devil Coaster media day recap on the SFNE Online Blog. You can check it out here:  https://www.sfneonline.org/2021/06/22/the-devil-is-in-the-details-jersey-devil-coaster-that-is/

If you’ve ridden JDC what’s your thoughts on it?

We made a Jersey trip yesterday.  It was supposed to be for two new coasters which both would have been new style of coasters for us.  Rolling cars on Xolo Loco @ Casino Pier and monorail track on Jersey Devil @ Great Adventure.  Since Casino Pier decided not to open 49 minutes before opening time (royally pissed about that) it became just Great Adventure.

Jersey Devil was a fun ride.  The park was slammed yesterday when we arrived from the unsuccessful shore part of the trip.  The line for JD was just over an hour.  The setup and crew there were dispatching trains of 12 riders just about every minute or so, so props to them.  The loading is done while the train is slowly moving thru the station which allows the fast dispatch.   The downside of the hour wait was the strictly enforced no loose articles policy.  They don't care about zippered pockets.  It is nothing in your pockets or you get the boot.  That means no phone to catch up with work which made me unhappy.

So I enjoyed the ride but I would not wait more than 15 or 20 minutes ever again.
