Supersizing you figure they would sue the closure to relocate the coaster to another park.

If they get GL open and then WCR opens it will give them 20 coasters.  That may be a record.  It will certainly be the most in one park right now.

Well that record just went by the boards!!  LOL  SFMM has now clarified their statement to - GL is being retracked so it can reopen and that reopen will not be at SFMM.

I think Green lantern going to La Ronde and This building of West Coast Racers is going slow lol It will be interesting when this finally opens, but this year across the board the industry has been going slow with construction!

While I do very much like Wicket Cyclone I'm not the biggest fan of removing wood coasters for steel.  I can't judge a coaster I haven't ridden but Colossus was an iconic coaster at the park and they threw out a lot of history for this conversion.

And they spent money upfront to stop the never ending expenditures to maintain the wood version.  With the tightening of $ a never ending reality for all parks this will become more and more common.

You've posted this argument before. But it doesn't stop it. You still have a wood structure that will still need to be maintained as much if not more them before. you're really only cutting out the maintenance on the track.  Now, these needs vary but the conversion cost around 6 times that of a full retrack.  So it would take time to even out the costs. We also don't know what the longterm operating coasts will be on this coaster because they are so new. I mean Texas Giant is only 8 years old.
