No not a good plan on their end.

I like this new idea better right not there is littel to no good reason to go down that path. it's a dead end now that you can swing aorudn teh wave pool and unles you wan tot rie the ferris wheel it s not worht using the path.

^ he said Balloon Ferris Wheel pad which is the area between blizzard, skyride, trapezes and Pandemonium.  Has nothing to do with the path around bobsled to the wavepool.

What's worse is I read that and When I responded my mind still went to that back path.

I guess the old Balloon Wheel sport is convenient. not sure how much room they have for a queue. it's also already a very busy area so it will do nothing to control crowds.

I think they would have been better off adding it by the big Ferris wheel or by the Comet.

GE is officially moving Adirondack Outlaw out of Ghost Town to avoid an environmental review. It's good to know that we are still getting the same ride and it's not being swapped to another park. It sounds like we should know some time this week where the new location will be. My guess will be somewhere in the back of the park.

Not so quick. Ghost Town might still get this ride just by Condor instead.

Interesting but not sure how that woudl work. that area is more then 150ft long.

as they point out seemingly the only way for thsi to work in that area is to remove chucks of building like the jail for this to work.  and you then need Queue.

Isn't the area next to Condor still on the hill?  I don't see how that would fix anything.

Maybe it’s a distance thing where it would be far enough away that the trees would block it from view in that location. Don’t get how it will fit. Will be interesting to see the site plan.

I don't completely get it either. The report seems to intricate there is a small area that allows for 165 insted of 135ft  but I would rather see it relocated and get a new name.

Here is a pic of the boundaries. The 175 ft line goes into Ghost Town and stops right beyond Condor. It’s the line that intersects with the buildings. So long story short, something has to come out for this whether its the jail and gift shop, the old horse barn, or Condor itself.

Looking at that map, I could 100% see the firehouse and water sifting thing going. Looking at google earth and street view, It looks like that area is more than long enough, especially because the actual footprint of the ride isn't that big, it's the clearance envelope you have to worry about. It actually looks like that area is just as long if not longer than the proposed spot. I could definitely see it going there, but we might see the lost of the cave to free up a little additional room. We should know soon.

It would obviously fit better in the Fest Area, but honestly I like their commitment to Ghost Town as long as they don’t mess anything up too bad. Its just been so dead up there for years while the Fest Area has gotten congested and cramped (especially since Pandemonium took away a big midway path).
