Yes, but you're talking about an extremely long path of nothing to get to that area of the park.

This area used to be the main ride area for the Ghost Town train which had a loading station in front of Desperado.

Maybe add some buildings along the way?

Not a whole lot fo room for that and to even add thinner midway style game building would require extra groundwork and work around Demon.

The nightmare building si not really needed. you can build a proper building for the haunt and like I pointed out before the flume can be rebuilt.

This may sound harsh but the only really good thing about Desperado is the dark ride section. The drop is small and the layout below average. If that dark ride section was not there it would be the worst flume I've been on. as is it's towards the bottom.

Still at least a flume and welcomed dry park water ride that can get large lines.

Yeah I’m nothing special but I like that we have a flume.  I wouldn’t mind if they redid it for our “big ride” of the year.

I agree a flume is better then no flume.  SFNE's flume was at the bottum of my list but I stil rode it every time I visited.

It needs a massive rehaul and maybe even a rerouting.

Anyone else have a 5/10 year plan?

The Great Escape is an unusual park. It's owned by a chain known for thrill rides but it's a park that has lower attendance a shorter season and draws a more family-focused demographic.  So here's what I would do to improve the park if I were in charge.

2021 - New Coaster/Boblsedis removed
Cliffhanger a Custom Euro Fighter replaces Bobsled. Like Untamed at Canobie, the track will be filled with sand to dampen noise from the operation of the coaster. It will feature 5 inversions the most of any coaster in the park.
2022 - Water park expansion
In land opened up by bobsleds removal will be a new Slide tower. The tower will feature 5 body slides and plenty of new lounge space.
2023 - Flying trapeze is removed/ Zoom Jets relocated
The High height will give you a better flying feeling on the great family ride that is currently SBNO in the waterpark
2024 - Gaslight Pier/bamboo shuts are removed
The area around Comet will get a facelift. Supernova goes will be relocated and a classic flying swing will take its place.  the area will get a collection of classic flats and midway games. the food stand will be rebuilt.
2025 - national park makeover/Frankie's mine train removed as
Upgrades will be made to make the are more family over kiddie. The horrible kiddie coaster will be removed and replaced with a rock'n  Tug (rafting theme), The stage will be removed as well as the teacups for a zameprla Speedy Coaster The old jungle treck will get an aerial ride in its place with new forest-themed figures to look at as you ride. Treehouse, speed trap, teacups, and Plans will be removed and stored. The area will also add Frog hopper with a canoe them in place of the plans, Family drop tower in place of the teacups, and the former drop tower pot will gt a themed win every time game. The maintenance path will also be upgraded and become a midway connection between this area and ghost town/story town
2026 -  Capital improvements, some kiddie rides return, extended hours, night show, and new ride
Speed trap, Planes, and teacups will return in the former petting zoo area. The rope ladder game will be relocated.  Painting will be done on many rides and buildings as well as more lighting to make the park more appealing for the late-night hours. a laser light show will be added to give guests a reason to stay later. The new ride will be a samba tower in the old balloon race spot in story town
2027 - Ghost town Expansion/rework
Nightmare Buiding would be removed along with the flume. A new flume will be added on the roadside fo the area (sky trans) with the original building and drop accommodated as the first drop and a larger finale drop in the new layout. It will use a combination of inground and above the ground trough. On the wetlands side, a new building will be added for the return of Tornado. the area will also get a theater stage to replace the stage removed in Nationalpark.
2028 - New Entrance plaza
This was actually something that was in one of these threads I did years ago. But they are will get security checks closer to the ramp. a new smaller ticker both will be constructed and new themed entrance gate. All of this will be to the right of the area now.  The carousel will be relocated and reinstalled in front fo the present entrance gate. guests will now be allowed to walk through the original entrance or around the side around sasquatch.
2029 - water park expansion
A new tower with 3-4 slides will be added in the general area of the former Bamboo chutes but stay within the water park's boundaries.
2030 - Steam on Deamon is retired and replaced
The Aging coaster will be replaced by a new wood Cyclone with 3 inversions. Gravity group similar to Mine Blower in Florida.
2031 - New Theater
the area in the front of the park and the road by the reworked main plaza will get a show theater.

of course, the order could chance and there is still future phase 2 possibly 3 to fully use ghost town.

That’s a solid list.  I love the idea of a new light show to entice the guests.  I wouldn’t get rid of Bobsled just yet but I’d love a Eurofighter.  I agree Tornado needs to return as well.

I was going back and forth about Bobsled vs Deamon in the list first. but As I thought about the later hours I thought it became more important to have not only a high capacity addition but one that could operate into those longer hours. Sadly bobsled can't do that. So the demon was given a longer shelf life.

A lot of the additions were kept on the moderate expense range. Well, amusement park wise. pretty much every year was under 3 Million. Thought obivously the euro fighter with that many inversion and preceding work would make that bigger but the next 2 years while not small were relatively inexpensive. Just flashy.

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind a few down years for a coaster.

After rereading mine, and kinda piggybacking off of yours, I’m gonna redo my ten year list-

Can happen whenever:
-Park is renamed “Six Flags Over the Adirondacks.”
-The local Home Depot’s paint aisle is cleared and all the rides get a fresh coat.

2021:
-Chance GTX Hyper, located next to or replacing the Skycoaster.

2022:
-New entrance
-Move Grand Carousel to new entrance
-New theater near new entrance
-“Grand Finale” new show premieres.  Includes fireworks, dancing and projections at the end of the night.
-Splash Theater renovated and extended back into Grand Carousel’s old pad for more seating.  New performance arena includes a pool, trampoline, motorcycle dome and trapeze structure for an all new Circus Show.
-Petting zoo returns in Storytown.
-Park hours extended to 9pm weeknights and 10pm Friday and Saturday.
-Opening day moved to April.
-Holiday in the Park returns.

2023:
-StarFlyer in Flying Trapeze’s (now removes) old pad.

2024:
-New Sally Dark Ride next to Supernova and Comet, themed to space.
-Whole area gets rethemed to space exploration.
-Restaurant rethemed.
-New games added.

2025:
-New water coaster replaces Mega Wedgie and employee parking.

2026:
-Alice in Wonderland removes.
-AIW replaced with an S&S Steeplechase themed to the Saratoga Racetrack.  Queue shows facts about the racetrack and has pictures of races and the location.
-Fest Area theming removed, replaced with generic theming.
-Alpine Fest Haus receives an upgrade with more seating and more food options, such as grilled cheese.  Desserts added, cinnamon rolls, slushees, etc.

2027:
-Timbertown theater removed and replaced with 3 new rides.
-Timbertown Trail replaced with a “Moose on the Loose” type ride.

2028:
-Canyon Blaster removed.
-Desperado Plunge rerouted and goes about 1/3 into Canyon Blaster’s pad on the left side.
-Nightmare building becomes a small Triotech remake of “Tornado.”  Nothing large, more an homage than a replacement.
-New theater and takes up about 1/2 of what is left of CB’s pad.
-Chance Unicoaster themed to tumbleweeds takes up what is left of CB’s pad.

2029:
-Raging River receives upgrades.  Now themed to pirates, the ride will have new waterfalls and an enclosed section towards the end.

2030:
-RMC Raptor OR Mack Spinning coaster replaces a portion of the picnic grove.

Future:
-RMC Raptor added near the Mack, or vise versa.
-More flats added near the Raptor/Spinner, creating a new Steampunk area.
-More waterslides added to HH.
-Gravity Group family wooden coaster added somewhere in the park.

Interesting updates.

One question is where are you going to put a new picnic grove. they do get corporate events and you're taking over that area with rides.

Picnic area would be moved to the employees only area between Timbertown and Ghost Town.  That could open up a new path connecting the two as well.
