2022 Season Pass
« on: August 20, 2021, 02:47:08 pm »
I got this note from Mike Spanos today.

I want to thank you for being a 2020/2021 Season Pass Holder during what was a challenging year for everyone.

We’re putting our 2022 Season Passes on sale next week. In appreciation for your patience, patronage, and support, we are going to send you a deeply discounted special offer on 2022 Season Passes.

You’ll receive your special offer by email on Thursday, August 26. Please do not buy your 2022 Season Passes from our regular website at the regular price.

Again, thank you so much for being our guest this year. We have an exciting season planned for 2022, and look forward to you being part of it.

New terms for season passes.

Quote
Your Season Pass is only valid for admission at the park you purchased your pass from. If you purchased a 2 or 3 Park Pass then your Season Pass will be valid at the parks included. You cannot use a Season Pass for admission to other Six Flags theme parks and water parks.

Every Season Pass purchaser also receives a free ticket to Fright Fest, and, when applicable, Holiday in the Park. In 2022 Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park tickets are subject to blockout dates. For unlimited access to Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park, you can become a Member!
Hopefully the pass renewal email offers membership discounts since they obviously want to move us away from passes.

Yep - saw this coming when they started memberships.  They swore season passes would remain with the same benefits as always and they did until now.  I guess they think we are too stupid to remember.  LOL

My aggravation is that While I don;t mind the slightly higher cost since it's still a good value I dislike having a revolving fee on my credit card. I would prefer to save up and pay something I know I can afford and have the spare cash for over constantly being charged and having to pay that off.

Like the old commercial - "It is 8 PM do you know where your promised Season Pass renewal emails are??"  LOL  Perhaps they will still send it before midnight.

It's available but the lack of email marketing and VERY quick sale that ends Monday suggests they really don't want you to renew. $40 for a one park pass + parking but no Fright Fest is a fair price to me.

It is a low price given it's basically the price of a day pass. Interesting that they are not including or limiting Fright fest.

Anyone think we might see the return of some free haunts?

Free, highly doubtful! Home ever is in charge fo Fright Fest needs to be fired! Or Six Flags needs to get their heads of our their asses if they think they are putting a great product in place! The passes in any case at the price point they are selling them is still too cheap even for just 1 park and parking! plus if they raise the prices some more, we could finally get the riff riff out of the park!

The Riff Raff seems to be their bread and butter.  They seems to rather keep prices down and get as many into the park as they can then try to get a much money out of there as they can once they are in.

but they have to be careful the product is not the best value t start with so they can oy raise prices o much before it stops becoming worth it.

Screamscape is reporting that SF Corporate is now phasing out the Membership program and will be going with pay all up front season passes.  Talk about not being able to make up your mind!!  LOL

And now SF has listed vastly more expensive season pass options at SFMM and SFFT.  I am sure it won't be much longer until all the other parks follow suit.

I prefer to pay all at once but I agree the prices shows at those 2 parks are insane.  Admission and season pass price will come to a breaking point. I wonder how many people actually got the top end membership because that's where the top end new pass seems to be priced around.

Does anyone know what will happen to the existing memberships?  I've been paying a lot of money every month for my family's membership + dining pass and honestly not really getting a good value because we didn't choose to go much because of covid concerns. I'm about to cancel and forfeit the sunk cost, but it would be nice to know what the plan is in case we decide to join again, or maybe there is an option to downgrade?

I think they have said memberships are being honored until they expire.

That's what I have heard also.

If you haven't already purchased a pass you have to deal with the new teared system.
