I heard they got it approved to move their maintenance shed to the staff parking lot so that's a nonissue.

I was also thinking of replacing Tomahawk and Rodeo with the train, and then put a clone of Maxx Force in the Membership Park. Fireball would get relocated either within in the park or to a park that doesn't have one (Magic Mountain) for the queue/exit. They could easily fit Fireball and the Teacups in Goliath's spot, and then do the previously discussed Kontiki retheme

I wouldn't say that's a non-issue, I think that's an enormous development. That opens up a huge area of land for a 2021 expansion. Do we have confirmation of this?

With all the leaks at other parks, I'm impressed they've kept this under wraps (big or small addition).

Supergirl Sky Flyer Ride

AGAWAM, MA ― August 29, 2019 ― Six Flags New England, the Thrill Capital of New England, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC, announced its newest thrill ride launching in 2020—Supergirl Sky Flyer. Guests will take an adrenaline-charged flight on the all-new Supergirl Sky Flyer attraction as they soar nearly 7-stories through the sky in open-air vehicles. Drawing on DC Super Hero Supergirl’s powers of stamina and strength, thrill-seekers spin and tilt at maximum speeds while being inverted at 80° from the  massive, whirling wheel. The ride is raised as riders are launched into a high-speed spin, feet dangling…round and round…higher and higher.

“Innovation is part of our DNA here at Six Flags New England and Supergirl Sky Flyer delivers breathtaking new thrills,” said Park President Pete Carmichael. “The renowned DC-branded attractions are extremely popular with our guests and we are excited to add this cutting-edge attraction bearing Supergirl’s name to our epic lineup of world-class attractions.”

Supergirl Sky Flyer’s heroic highlights:

•               Guests fly in open air seats with feet dangling;

•               Super-sized wheel begins to spin horizontally, then a giant arm lifts and tilts the wheel to a vertical position as the high-speed rotations continue throughout; and

•               24 riders repeatedly reach a maximum spinning height of 67-feet in the air.

Supergirl Sky Flyer is scheduled to land at Six Flags New England in the newly themed DC Universe section of the park in late spring 2020 to recruit fliers 48” and up.

Disappointed, but not surprised. I'm tired of spinning flat rides, those have been the additions for the past three years now. Any word on the water park improvements though?

So it looks like DC Superhero Adventure will be rethemed to DC Universe. Does anyone know where Kryptonite will be relocated?

Yeah, Josh, what's with the ride rolcation.

TBH, I feel either Lake Compounce or another Six Flags park will get Kryptonite's parts

I'm looking forward to this! I still miss the Enterprise at Lake Compounce and this looks like an even better version of that kind of ride. We still need flats, and though this is zero sum at least it's replacing something that's become redundant. And from an aesthetic point of view it fits much better in Nightwing's old location.

I'm also not surprised. I'm glad to have one in New England though know that the ride would have been a  bigger thing for any other NE park then SFNE. Another spinning rides for a park with many spinning rides.  That aside It will look good at the park and I can see myself going out fo my wy to ride this more then I do many of there recent additions.

Wow, these announcement videos are becoming more and more cringe worthy! The ride will look great where the kollider was. Nightwing had a big impact on the area when it was around. I'm not sure if they'll keep the kollider. There might be just enough space for it next to GCG. Maybe La Ronde will get it :D Here's hoping we get a decent launched coaster in 2021

The park wouldn't confirm or deny any ride being relocated lol Jen also said that Kryptonite is retiring at the end of Fright Fest, now maybe theme is retired or the ride, not sure yet. She said get your last spins in now!  For me Im glad we are getting the ride, I know people are getting sick of spinning rides as I am getting sick of Comic book themes! I do notice one thing is that people are getting disappointed by the announcement of the attractions going in. I used to be one of those, but more and more I feel they are doing the right thing.  They have a huge debt load, A lot of parks to fill with rides, I see this being the trend for a bit, as they pay down the debt!  I don't see anything wrong with the announcement of attractions, its what parks need, it maybe not what people want, but everybody just has a wish list that isn't being fulfilled and upsetting people! Remember less then 5% of visitors are Enthusiasts and we are not their target! The GP will eat these attractions up and Enthusiasts are going to complain! I just check out what there is and enjoy it for what it is, it seems Cedar Fair and Six Flags are working on paying down their debt now .  Share holders must be on their butts to get this resolved! Plus its cheaper to add Water Park attractions and save some money!

As for the Water Park addition at SFNE , I advent heard anything which makes me believe that 2021 will be that addition as possibly adding a new slide.  Just renaming the area, adding a small pool and cabanas doesn't really scream a master Marketing Plan! That wont drive attendance!
